Abstract artist Jeff Koons inspired LASM Education Coordinator Ms. Chandra to create her own colorful clay sculpture. She used simple items from her kitchen to make clay that can be molded easily to make a sculpture. Watch chemistry unfold before your eyes as you make your own clay, because even though the identities of the ingredients have not changed, the mixture of these materials behaves in a brand new way. Think about the many different ways that artists use chemistry to create!
